Sunderland Presbyterian Church Plant
Revd Nathan Hilton was ordained on the 17th of November 2018 following a unanimous vote of the congregation establishing him as a teaching elder with a view to plant a church faithfully proclaiming the gospel in the needy city of Sunderland. On Easter Sunday, 2019, after months of preparatory bible studies, Sunderland Presbyterian Church held its first Sunday services.
Hexham Presbyterian Church
We have wanted to plant a Reformed church in the Tyne Valley area for a while, and the Lord has made this possible. The Rev Josh Rieger (BSc, University of Arizona; MDiv, RTS), a former US Navy officer, was approved by the EPCEW to work as the church planter. He (and wife Gina and children Jackson, Riley Cates and Rutherford) completed the support raising process through Mission to the World (MTW) and, praise the Lord, arrived in the UK at the beginning of February 2014. Regular services of Hexham Presbyterian Church began in early February 2015 and now take place twice each Lord’s Day at the Torch Centre at 10am and 5pm.
Berlin Presbyterian Church Plant
Our church is also involved in supporting the new EPCEW Presbyterian Church in Berlin, Germany called the Presbyterianische Kirche Berlin. The Rev. Johannes Müller was called by Presbytery as its minister in 2014 and the project was officially recognised as a Planting Church in May 2015. For more information, please visit the church’s own website.
Sunderland Bible Study
We have had the privilege of planting a new church in Sunderland. We pray that God would make the newly-established Sunderland Presbyterian Church a blessing to the people of that city. More information can be found at: www.sunderlandpres.org.uk
